Key Features & Functionality of LAGO

Based on Best Practices from some of the largest multichannel retailers in the world, Comosoft has developed the leading planning and workflow production system for the retailing industry. The LAGO applications fall into the following functional categories:

1. Integrated Multichannel Content Management

LAGO utilizes a centralized database and a powerful set of application services to manage content (product images, copy and marketing content) and its relation to product attributes (factual data about products and product groups) and media usage information. The LAGO applications are tightly "integrated" with other systems (mainframes or data warehouses) in your enterprise to optimally support large-scale multichannel publishing and content management requirements. Product attributes and content (product copy and images) can be easily repurposed and versioned for different catalogs and/or separate Internet campaigns. Fast, easy, consistent updates of both catalog and Internet product content, is a key feature.

2. Integrated Multichannel Workflow

Configurable "Work Plans" and "Time Plans" are used within LAGO to define a structured process for creating catalogs and websites.  Sharing content across each channel and workflow is both seamless and configurable. All Users are assigned a specific role and set of permissions. Users or User Groups from multiple departments have a set of pre-determined tasks or Jobs throughout the progression of a catalog, website or retail workflow. As tasks are completed and Checkpoints are "set to Done", the document or Internet campaign proceeds to the next Checkpoint. Users can see the status of each document or campaign at any time.

3. Vertical Assortment Planning and PIM (Product Information Management)

Vertical Assortment Selection and Media Planning: “item optimization” and analysis for multichannel promotions. This includes automated page analysis (Squinch), automated stickering of catalog or web product pages with SKU/Product/Collection sales data. The use of LAGO Page Planning, LAGO Whiteboarding, LAGO Digital Folders and/or LAGO Turnover Documents provide a precise, flexible, powerful application for Merchants to organize and communicate critical information across the organization.

Product Information Management: LAGO's powerful data model provides an unlimited number of Properties, Attributes and grouping functions for an unlimited number of SKUs. LAGO can be easily adapted to your own merchandise hierarchy.

Comosoft’s uniquely integrated, cross-channel planning and publishing approach, ties a configurable media and vertical planning application and workflow for the Merchandising team, directly to the Creative and Advertising team for catalog and website creation.

Distributed, Multi-Site Production Workflow with LAGO

LAGO can support multiple distributed production servers (inside or outside the firewall) that leverage a centralized application server and production database (with high res. image storage at multiple printers or agencies) and synchronized production in multiple locations. Conversely, LAGO can also support centralized storage of high resolution assets with many remote individuals, groups or Agencies utilizing multiple broadband connections to access a centralized application server and database.
